Original passport with Panama entry stamp is mandatory; copies are not accepted. Make sure to carry your original passport at all times during the trip.
Bring enough cash (USD). There are no ATMs in San Blas. There is a mandatory Guna Yala entrance fee: $23 for foreign tourists and $8 for Panamanian citizens/residents.
Space in cars and boats is limited. Bring only essentials in a small backpack. Large coolers, beach chairs, or bulky items are strictly prohibited.
Drone flying is strictly prohibited in San Blas and can result in confiscation and fines. Please leave your drone at home.
Shared 4x4 pick-up from Panama City is between 5:30 AM and 6:00 AM. Please be ready at your hotel reception by 5:30 AM.
